WELCOME TO ST JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH
This is a lovely community parish where care and support for each other is at the heart of our communion. You are most welcome to join us if you live locally or visiting. Here, everyone is welcome to receive or give support both in Sacraments and practical life situations.

A Prayer from Bishop Bosco for Safeguarding Sunday
God of compassion,
you are the refuge of the broken
and the shelter of the wounded.
On this Day of Prayer for Safeguarding Sunday
we bring before you all who have suffered abuse
in our Church and beyond.
You know their names, their stories, their pain.
You weep with them.
You walk beside them.
Bring healing to their lives,
justice to their cause,
and peace to troubled hearts.
May Jesus, the wounded healer, crucified and risen,
shine His Easter light into every place of darkness.
Cleanse and renew your Church, O Lord,
and strengthen us to be guardians of the vulnerable
and servants of your justice.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Pope Leo XIV’s New Year message.
Pope Leo opened the New Year on World Day of Peace, celebrating Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica and sharing a message urging peace, reconciliation, and mercy for the world. He called on everyone to pray for peace among nations affected by conflict and within families wounded by violence and suffering, emphasising that the new year is an opportunity for renewal, understanding, forgiveness, and friendship among all peoples. He reminded the faithful that peace is not achieved through force or violence but through God’s love, mercy, and the transformation of hearts, and he entrusted the year to Mary, asking for her guidance and blessing for all.
